Couples and Coparenting Counseling
What We do
Specializing in Complex Relationship Dynamics
Our partners, whether intact, separated, or divorced, can be a significant source of support. As parents it is even more essential that the coparent relationship remains strong to help us become the individuals, partners, coparents, and parents that we envision.
Built on the foundations of academic research, Dr. Kovacs offers evidence-based counseling to resolve conflicts, improve communication, and rebuild relationships. Resolving complex family and relationship issues isn’t easy. But through years of commitment to research and practical experience in couple and family dynamics, Dr. Kovacs can help you overcome these difficulties.
Dr. Kovacs works with intact couples with or without children, with post-separation coparents, and with individuals for issues related to relationship distress. He can help you understand how past and current dynamics have affected your relationships, your career, your parenting styles, and your overall happiness. He can help you through the struggles of being a single parent, stepparent, or coparent.
Accessing and applying the latest research on family and relationship dynamics, Dr. Kovacs can help you lessen the negative impacts of partner and coparent disagreements and hostility on you and your children. Although everyone is different, most clients see the results they desire within 8-10 sessions. Dr. Kovacs appreciates busy schedules, so he is available evenings 1-2 days a week.
